"There exists in certain persons at certain moments a faculty of acquiring knowledge which has no rapport with our normal faculties of that kind.”
-M. Charles Richet, Professor of Physiology in the Faculty of Medicine, Paris
By any measure 5:22 am is before time to get up. One can imagine a lucid roll over, perhaps a slit-eye view of the window. This morning 5:22 was a binding time and though no view of Sun-Moon rapture was offered in Raleigh, standing awake and dark against the dark was a July gift.
Earth, Moon, Sun are in continual cyclic dance. Tracing their steps and standing with them at the moment of alignment is at once being single stone of weathered cromlech, deep root and reaching branch of oak, body as testament to connections. When the mind is still, a stream of energy exchanges between three worlds. In such exchange, a binding of parts becomes wordless knowledge that demands nothing be done but being there.
The next two eclipses occur July 22nd and August 6th.
